Su e zo per i ponti 2024 - 44° edizione

The "Su e Zo per i Ponti di Venezia" is back, the traditional non-competitive solidarity walk to discover the city, organized by the social promotion association TGS Eurogroup under the patronage of the Municipality of Venice : every spring it involves thousands of people in the calli of Venice, all united in a day of aggregation, friendship and solidarity to discover Venice and under the banner of sustainable tourism.

The 2023 edition, the forty-third of the event, is scheduled for Sunday, April 14, 2024.

As always, any proceeds from the Su e Zo per i Ponti di Venezia go to support realities committed to social work and education, with a focus on Salesian missions around the world. In 2023, the focus of the solidarity activity will be the Salesian community of Monte Salvado in Quebrada Honda, Peru.

The 1st "Up and Zo for the Bridges" was held in 1975 on the initiative of TGS Eurogroup and, later, other associations such as AGeSc, CTG, Former Don Bosco Pupils, FISM, NOI Association and Salesian Cooperators, registering such a wide participation that the organizers were convinced to propose the initiative again. Over the years, the participation of various folkloric groups and bands has been added, enlivening the stages of the route with performances of various kinds. The "Su e Zo" was born, and still is after more than 40 editions, as a solidarity walk: its purpose is to involve participants in a walk to discover Venice, touching points of the city often far from the traditional tourist routes. Each year an average of between 5,500 and 10,000 people participate, in addition to the 350 volunteers who serve at the refreshments and along the routes.
