The 60th International Art Exhibition, curated by Adriano Pedrosa, will be held from Saturday 20 April to Sunday 24 November 2024 (pre-opening 17, 18, 19 April). “I am honored and grateful - declared Pedrosa - for this prestigious role, especially as the first Latin American to curate the International Art Exhibition of the Biennial, and in fact the first to reside in the southern hemisphere of the world”.
Adriano Pedrosa (Brazil) has been the Artistic Director of the Museu de Arte de São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand – MASP since 2014, where he has curated numerous exhibitions, including Histories of Dance (2020) and Brazilian Histories (2022). He was awarded the 2023 Audrey Irmas Award for Curatorial Excellence, awarded by the Central for Curatorial Studies at Bard College in New York.
