AMERICA'S CUP 2012: the Italian stop in Venice

From 12 and 20 May 2012 Venice will be the venue for the first of two stops of the World Series, with some of the best equipped crews worldwide competing against the magical backdrop of Saint Mark’s Square.

The base for the boats will be none other than the twelfth-century Arsenale, once the city's naval depot: a truly unique scenario for sailing competitions, which will begin on 17 May with the match race and end with the fleet race, with which the overall winner will be proclaimed.
